Day trip to the Holy Temple of Saint John Rus, the Holy Monastery of Osios David and Chalkida

On Sunday, 20 February 2022, we visited the Prefecture of Evia. We departed at 06:00 a.m. from Kolokotroni Square and via the National Road Tripoli – Corinth we arrived at the Holy Church of Saint John Rus in Prokopi, Evia to attend the Divine Liturgy and pay our respects to the Holy Relic of the Saint. After our pilgrimage we departed for the Holy Monastery of Osios David. This is a monastery located at the foot of the Kavalaris and Xeron mountains, in a dense forest of firs and pines. After our pilgrimage we returned to Chalkida, where we would have coffee and food, and in the afternoon we departed for Tripoli.
