3-DAY CELEBRATION OF PANAGIA MYRTIDIOTISSA – PROTECTRESS OF THE ISLAND

22/09/2023 – Friday: Departure from Astros 10:00 a.m. and from Tripoli to Neapoli, from where we will depart by boat at 14:30 for a unique island, the island of Aphrodite, Kythira. As soon as we arrive, we will depart by our company's coaches for the Anessis Hotel 3* (three-star) hotels. After checking into our rooms, we will have free time to swim at the beach of Agia Pelagia with its fine grey sand and crystal-clear waters or take a stroll around the island.
Evening free.
23/09/2023 – Saturday: On Saturday morning, after breakfast, we will depart for a beautiful stroll around the island. The Cave, the Castle, and the Waterfalls of Mylopotamos, the Watermills, and the Temple of Aphrodite are some of the sights worth visiting; we will stop at some beach for swimming and food, and then return to the hotel.
Evening free.
24/09/2023 – Sunday: On Sunday morning, after breakfast, we will depart for the largest monastery on the island, the Holy Monastery of Panagia Myrtidiotissa. On the day of the celebration, we will visit the monastery to attend the Divine Liturgy. The monastery is located in the Myrtidion area, in the west of the island, and is built in a natural rocky opening, surrounded by many myrtle trees! The icon of Panagia Myrtidiotissa is the most valuable treasure of the island and is the protector of the Kythirians. After our pilgrimage, we will depart for the island's port, from where we will depart at 14:00 from the island for the port of Neapoli. As soon as we arrive in Neapoli, we will depart for Tripoli with intermediate stops.
