PROGRAMME OF 3-DAY TRIP
to CORFU
28 – 30 JULY 2023
28/07/2023 – Friday: Departure from Kolokotroni Square in Tripoli at 07:30 and via the national road Tripoli – Corinth – Patras with intermediate stops we will arrive in Igoumenitsa. At 14:45 we will depart by ferry from Igoumenitsa to the island of the Phaeacians, Corfu. After arriving on the island, we will check into our rooms and in the afternoon we will take a stroll in one of the most beautiful islands in all of Greece, with its unique and special identity, with its historical presence from antiquity to the modern era, with its stunning nature and beautiful landscapes. We will explore the old town with its cantons, visit the historic churches and discover the hidden squares among the multi-storey Venetian buildings. We will visit Kanoni, from where we will admire Pontikonisi and then return to the hotel. Evening free.
29/07/2023 – Saturday: After breakfast we will start a beautiful route in the interior of the island, where nature abounds. The lake of Korission with its 14 different species of orchids on its sandy shores, Spilia, Benitses, the beaches, Achilleion and the church of Saint Spyridon are some of the places worth visiting. We will also visit the monastery of Paleokastritsa, a male monastery founded in 1225 and built in a location with a wonderful view on the right side of the bay of Paleokastritsa. After our guided tour of the island, we will return to the hotel. Evening free.
30/07/2023 – Sunday: We will depart from the port of Corfu at 14:00 for Igoumenitsa and with intermediate stops we will return to Tripoli.
