THIRD STATION OF SALUTATIONS
17/03/2023 – Friday: Departure from Kolokotroni Square at 16:30 p.m. for the Holy Monastery of Saint Nikolaos Kaltezon, where we will attend the ceremony of the Third Station of Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos. This is a monastery located in the south of the Arcadia prefecture, on a small plateau and in a position of great military importance. It was founded in the late 18th century and is one of the most famous monasteries of Mantinia, as one of the most important historical events of 1821 took place there: the First Assembly and the establishment of the Peloponnesian Senate, in May 1821. After the end of the Salutations ceremony, we will depart for Tripoli.
