“THE GROCER OR THE UNFORTUNATE ONE”

SUNDAY 26 MARCH 2023

26/03/2023 – Sunday: Departure from Kolokotroni Square at 15:30 to arrive at the Theatro Pireos 131, where we will attend the theatrical performance “THE GROCER OR THE UNFORTUNATE ONE” by Christos & Giorgos Giannakopoulos & Dinos Katsouridis.

The sparkling comedy «OF THE UNFORTUNATE ONE» widely known as «THE GROCER», by Dinos Katsouridis (1963) is possibly the most popular comedy of Greek cinema and is based on the homonymous theatrical play by Christos and Giorgos Giannakopoulos. The phrases that were fired at a machine gun pace by Zikos – Kostas Chatzichristos, in perhaps the best role of his career, have remained timeless and timely! The ambitious production is presented at the Theatro Pireos 131, in a subversive musical adaptation and directed by Giorgos Valaris who returns to the familiar successful genre of transferring Greek film movies, with the beloved Giannis Zouganelis in the title role of «Zikos» and a team of well-known actors. Along with them, the great Giorgos Armenis in the role of the grocer! The performance starts at 19:00 and ends at 21:30. After the end of the performance, we depart for Tripoli.
