Lemnos with Alexandroupoli and Thessaloniki

Departure from our office to the port of Lavrio at 18.00. Embarkation on the ship and departure at 22:00 for Lemnos.

Arrival at 07.00 in the morning and immediate departure for a first sightseeing tour of the most important villages of Lemnos. Initially, we will see Kontopouli, where the poet Giannis Ritsos spent his years of exile.

Next, we will visit the Terra Lemnia ceramics workshop, where we will have the opportunity to see the production of pottery. Then, we will head to the famous archaeological site of Lemnos, Kabirion, which is a place of worship where the Ancient Kabirian Mysteries took place. We continue to Kotsinos with its castle, known from the siege of Suleiman Pasha.

There, we will visit the church of Zoodochos Pigi, built on an underground holy spring. Transfer to a nearby beach. Free time for swimming and food. Return to the hotel and rest. Free afternoon. We suggest visiting the castle of Myrina to admire the magnificent sunset on Mount Athos. Optional entertainment. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure for the picturesque port of Nea Koutali, founded by refugees from the Propontis (the place of the famous athlete Koutalianos). Here, there is the Maritime Tradition Museum and the Sponge Exhibition. Next, we will visit and worship at the Church of Panagia Faneromeni and the miraculous icon "Rodon to Amaranton". We continue with a stop in the village of Portianou. There, we will have time to visit the famous Folklore Museum of the area. We continue to the village of Kondias, where we will admire the famous windmills and the traditional settlement, which hosts the gallery of Contemporary Balkan Art. Next, we will head to one of the stunning beaches of the area, the beach of Evgatis. Free time for swimming and food. Return to the hotel. Those who wish can visit Panagia Kakaviotissa (requires 1 hour of walking in total). Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure for a visit to the coastal village of Moudros, the second largest town of Lemnos after Myrina. There we will visit the Information Center of History and Maritime Tradition of Moudros, which is housed in the old Municipal School. We continue to Poliochni, an important archaeological site, not only for Lemnos, but also for the entire Aegean area. We continue to the village of Fysini, where we will visit the church of the patron saint of the island and protector of the shepherds, Saint Sozontas.

After breakfast, we take a last stroll in Myrina. In the early afternoon, we take the boat to Alexandroupoli. Late in the afternoon, we will be in Alexandroupoli. Check-in at the hotel.

After breakfast, we depart for Xanthi and Komotini. Then to Thessaloniki. Check-in at the hotel.

Breakfast, we take a last stroll in Thessaloniki and board for Tripoli with intermediate stops.
