Neapoli – Elafonisos

1st Day: Friday – Monemvasia / Neapoli

Departure from Tripoli and arrival in Monemvasia. Visit to the castle town of Monemvasia, with a stroll through the cobblestone alleys and the following attractions:

– Lower Town: Stone houses, small squares, cafes and local products.
– Church of Christ Elkomenos: Important Byzantine church with historical significance.
– Archaeological Museum of Monemvasia: Housed in a former temple.
– Upper Town: Church of Saint Sophia (12th century), view of the Aegean.
– Walk through arches, coats of arms and ruins of ancient buildings.
Tasting of local olive oil and wine (Malvasia), local sweets (amygdalota, samousades).
Departure for Neapoli, arrival, check-in and free time for rest or a stroll at the port.

2nd Day: Saturday – Elafonisos / Pounta / Kastania Caves / Velanidia

Breakfast and departure for the unique cave of Kastania. There we will tour a unique cave with wonderful decoration, total area of 1500 sq.m., at least 145 million years old.

Then we return to Neapoli. Free time for swimming and in the afternoon we visit the unique Elafonisos and the beach of Simos.

3rd Day: Sunday – Petrified Forest / Gytheio / Tripoli

Visit to the Petrified Forest of Agia Marina, a unique geological phenomenon with petrified tree trunks.
Continue to Gytheio for a stroll along the coastal front, coffee or food.
Return to Tripoli.
