Eve of the Feast of the Annunciation in Nafplio

Pilgrimage excursion to Nafplio, to the renowned Church of the Annunciation.

Departure 16.30 for Nafplio where we will attend the Vespers of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Theotokos.

After the end of the service, we will have free time in Nafplio.

Return in the evening to Tripoli.

The Church of the Evangelistria is one of the most important religious and historical sites in Nafplio, with a strong spiritual and cultural presence in the city. It is built in the Proinoa area, at one of the highest points above the city, with an impressive view of Nafplio, the Argolic Gulf and the city's monuments.

The current church was built from the ground up in 1975, in the place where there was possibly an older church building or a small monastery. The history of the place at this point has a basis of several centuries, and the discovery of elements from older churches shows the long religious presence of the area.
