On Saturday, 21 November 2026, we visit the impressive Mystras, with a guided tour by an official guide to the Archaeological Site and the Palaces of the Despots. In the iconic archaeological site of Mystras, a monument listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, there is the museum, whose exhibition is dedicated to the relations between Byzantium and the West. Through the example of the late Byzantine urban centre of Mystras and with the presentation of selected exhibits, the relations and mutual influences that shaped the unique character of the political and social reality, the intellectual life and the art of the Palaeologan era are illustrated. Next, we visit the picturesque Tryphi and Sparta, combining history, beautiful landscapes and free time for food and a stroll.
