Programme

1 Day 1ATHENS – FRANKFURT – BADEN BADEN – STRASBOURG

Gathering at El. Venizelos airport, from where we will take the flight to Frankfurt. Arrival, boarding our coach and departure. Our first stop is in Baden-Baden, a famous spa town, known since Roman times. Brief external visit to the Caracalla baths and a walk in the Lichtentaler Allee on the banks of the Oos river with the casino and the park. We continue to Strasbourg. Arrival, first acquaintance with the city and check-in at our hotel. Overnight stay.

2 Day 2STRASBOURG

After breakfast, the city sightseeing tour follows. Strasbourg, almost on the western banks of the Rhine, is the capital of the tiny province of Alsace and co-capital of the European Parliament after Brussels. The European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe are also based here. The Ill river crosses it, while its historic center, also called "Little France", is beautiful thanks to the canals, wooden houses and traditional Alsatian winstubs taverns. We will walk in the old town, full of picturesque houses with wood and color, where the Cathedral of Panagia of Strasbourg dominates. It's worth climbing the stairs to the platform to admire the sculptures that adorn the top of it. In the Chato square next to the cathedral, there is the 18th-century Rohan tower, which was once the archbishop's residence and today houses the city's main museums, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Archaeology. Free time and in the afternoon return to our hotel. Rest and overnight stay.

3 Day 3ALSATIAN VILLAGES

Breakfast at the hotel and we depart for the stunning villages of Alsace. First, we will visit Colmar. It is located on the "wine road" and is famous for its wines. Explore its historic center, characterized by traditional houses built on the banks of the Lauch River. There, you will admire the town hall, the cathedral dedicated to Saint Martin, as well as small, beautiful squares with interesting outdoor markets. We will have free time in the most beautiful spot of the old town, Little Venice, which is characterized by canals, ornate bridges, aristocratic cafes, and gourmet restaurants. Next, we visit Ribeville. Gothic churches, medieval walls, abandoned castles, and stunning natural landscapes around it make Ribeville one of the most popular villages in Alsace. Finally, Riquewihr, known for its picturesque vineyards and fine wines, is a medieval village that still maintains a rustic charm. The cellars and shops are decorated with impressive flowers all year round, while the different colors on each house are due to an old regulation of the settlement, according to which each building had to be painted in a different color, depending on the owner's profession. Return to Strasbourg. Rest and overnight stay.

4 Day 4BLACK FOREST – FREIBURG (optional)

After breakfast, we start today's trip to German territory. We will get to know cities and areas of the Black Forest, the forest that covers vast areas of Württemberg to the German-Swiss and French borders. Departure for Titisee with the lake, the chalets, and the green mountain peaks with the red fir trees. Arrival and free time to enjoy our coffee with a view of the lake or for an optional boat trip. Then, we continue to the fairy-tale-like Freiburg, built on the banks of the Dreisam River. Here, we will see, among other things, the University, the Theatre, the Town Hall, as well as the impressive Münster in the heart of the historic center. Return to Strasbourg.

5 Day 5STRASBOURG – HEIDELBERG

Leaving Strasbourg, we will head towards Heidelberg, one of the most beautiful cities in Germany, known also for its cultural life. After arrival, we will walk through the historic centre with the interesting Jesuit and Holy Spirit churches, admire the baroque buildings and the market square with its traditional cafes. After the sightseeing tour, we can go up to the castle and admire the view of the city and the river from there. Transfer and check-in at our hotel. Overnight stay.
