Festive Berlin – Fairytale Prague 6 days 21/12 & 28/12/24

Gathering at the airport and direct flight to Prague. Arrival and departure for Karlovy Vary, the famous spa town with its wonderful Renaissance-style buildings. On our guided tour, among other things, we will see the Imperial Spa, the City Theatre, the natural hot spring, the Russian Church and the legendary Grandhotel Pupp, built in the late 17th century. Free time to enjoy your walk in the picturesque town centre, along the river to do your shopping, for coffee or food. Don't forget that Karlovy Vary is the source of the famous Bohemian crystals, so don't miss the opportunity to do your shopping. In the afternoon, departure for Berlin. Arrival and check-in at our hotel. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will take a guided tour of modern and vibrant Berlin, one of the most important economic and cultural centres of Europe with numerous universities, research institutions, theatres, museums and architectural landmarks. On our guided tour, through the harmonious coexistence of historical and modern architecture, the historical moments that shaped the current image of modern Berlin will unfold. From the Brandenburg Gate to Karl Marx Avenue, the monuments of the royal era alternate with the buildings of socialist realism from the city's communist past, while near Checkpoint Charlie, the remains of the wall take you back to the events of the Cold War. Crossing the impressive 17th of June Avenue, you can enjoy the city's central park, Tiergarten. On the north side, the current government quarter of the German Federation has been located since 2000, with the historic Reichstag. Return to the hotel and free afternoon. Berlin is known for its many and important museums and its green parks with daily live music events, beer and other surprises. We suggest that during your free time in the city during our stay in Berlin, you visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, one of the most modern museums in the world, housed in a neo-Renaissance building dating back to 1847, formerly a railway station. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the famous Berlin Wall, a shocking symbol of the Cold War that divided Germany for 28 whole years (1961-1989). Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we suggest a short escape to Potsdam, visiting the famous Sanssouci Palace, built by Frederick the Great and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also take a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city and have the opportunity to wander through the picturesque narrow streets of the historic city center. Alternatively, the whole day is free at your disposal for shopping at the spectacular market of Kurfurstendamm, the Pergamon Museum, the largest zoological garden in Europe, etc. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the beautiful Dresden, the most baroque city in Germany, an open-air museum, with the excellent buildings that pre-war gave it the title of the "Florence of the North". Sightseeing tour in the historic center of the city and free time. Late in the afternoon arrival in Prague, transfer and check-in at our hotel. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. During the morning sightseeing tour of the city, we will visit the largest castle in Europe, the Hradcany Castle, which stretches over the rock of Mala Strana, with the imposing Saint Vitus Cathedral. We will descend to the Alchemists' neighborhood where Frang Kafka's house is located and wander through the medieval narrow streets of the city to see the Powder Tower, the Town Hall, the Church of Saint Nicholas, and the Charles Bridge. Free time and return to our hotel. Overnight stay.

Breakfast and a free day to enjoy your walk on the city's shopping streets and to enjoy Prague's square, where you will find picturesque arcades and historic buildings. Try a trldo and remember us. Join the crowd to watch the Astronomical Clock and its unique chimes. Then, departure for the airport and return flight.
