CARNIVAL OF NICE COSMOPOLITAN FRENCH RIVIERA – 6 days

Gathering at the airport and flight to Milan. Arrival and departure for Nice. In the afternoon, arrival at our central hotel and check-in to the rooms. Free time in the beautiful coastal town. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the medieval village of Eze to visit the Fragonard perfume factory. Next visit to the cosmopolitan Principality of Monaco, which is the most densely populated state in the world and its inhabitants are called Monégasques. On our panoramic sightseeing tour, we will see the palace of the Monégasques, the official government seat of the Principality and the residence of the royal family of Grimaldi since the 13th century, the impressive Cathedral of Panagia and finally we will visit the Oceanographic Museum, which was directed for several years by the famous explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau, and we will have the opportunity to learn more about over 4,000 species of fish. Free time in the city center. Departure for Milan. Late afternoon arrival at the hotel, check-in and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning departure for the undisputed "queen" of the Côte d'Azur, Cannes, with its famous Croisette, one of the most famous streets in the world. We will see the beautiful buildings and the ultra-luxurious hotels, dating back to the Belle Époque era, as well as the Palace of the Cannes Festival. Free time for coffee, a stroll. Next, we will visit one of the most picturesque villages in the area, Saint Paul De Vence, a medieval village surrounded by the walls of Francis I, a refuge for all painters and artists. Return to Nice. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at our hotel. Early in the morning, our panoramic sightseeing tour of Nice begins. We will cross the Promenade des Anglais, the famous coastal road of the city, with the wonderful Belle Époque buildings, such as the Negresco, the Palais de la Méditerranée, the Masséna Square, the city library, the Acropolis (the city's conference center) and we will end up on the Cimiez hill, where the city's history began. Next, we will see the Opera, the City Hall, the Courthouse, the Rusca palace, the Cathedral and we will pass through the aristocratic neighborhood of Cimiez, with its wonderful 19th-century mansions, including the Regina palace, the residence of Queen Victoria of England. We will visit the Franciscan monastery from where we will enjoy the wonderful view. The rest of the day is dedicated to the most spectacular Mediterranean Carnival. We start at noon with the parade of the flower floats and the Battle of Flowers. In the afternoon-evening, we will watch the illuminated Carnival parade and the closing ceremony (20.30-23.00). Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the capital of the Piedmont region, the unique Turin. We will walk in the historic piazza Castello, which is considered the historic center of the city, and we will admire the palazzo Madame and the teatro Regio, one of the most important operas in Italy. Continuing our stroll, we will meet the city's landmark building, the Mole Antonelliana, which got its name from its architect, Alessandro Antonelli, and today houses the National Museum of Cinema of Turin. The day will be filled with images and colors, as we cross the Via Po and end up in the picturesque piazza Vittorio Veneto. We will have time to try local flavors and enjoy a Turinese aperitivo while gazing at the Po river and the Swiss Alps to the north. Arrival late in the afternoon at the hotel, check-in and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for our flight back to Athens.
