Venice Carnival, 4-day trip from Milan

Gathering at the airport and flight to Milan with final destination the city of Doges and Canals, the romantic Venice. Gathering at the airport and flight to the economic capital of Italy, Milan. Our first nearby and wonderful stop, the famous Bergamo, a city with two faces. The lower city is modern, with impressive squares and interesting historic buildings, while the Upper city is medieval, but also aristocratic, surrounded by well-preserved Venetian walls with cobblestone alleys. We will visit the Upper city with the scenic cog railway (at your own expense) and have a magnificent view of the entire city from the Castle San Vigilio. After completing our tours in Upper and Lower Bergamo, departure for Padua and our hotel. Check-in to the rooms & overnight stay.

Breakfast and today we will have the opportunity for a guided tour of beautiful Venice and attendance at the Carnival. Transfer by vaporetto to the most beautiful district of Venice, Castello. Attendance at a costume competition in a very colorful environment with harlequins, casanovas and marchionesses. Unforgettable images that will remain etched in the mind, the gondolas decorated with flowers and lanterns, as well as the spectacular handmade masks and costumes. On the city tour, we will visit the Holy Metropolis of Greece in Italy, the Greek Orthodox church of St. George of the Greeks and the Hellenic Institute. Through picturesque alleys, dazzling canals and countless palaces, we will arrive at "the most beautiful salon in the world" according to Napoleon, Piazza San Marco. We will see the Basilica of St. Mark, the famous Tower of the Moors, the Libreria Sansoviniana library of the city, the "zecca" the old mint, the Campanile the tallest building in the city, the Piazzetta of St. Mark, the old and new prisons and of course the famous Bridge of Sighs. Finally, we will end up in one of the remaining workshops for the construction of the famous Murano glass. Free time to take a stroll with the gondolas, have a drink at the famous cafes on the square and get lost with the masqueraders in another era. Return to our hotel. Overnight stay.

Breakfast and departure for Venice and specifically, St. Mark's Square with a private Vaporetto. Today we will explore a different side of Venice in a wonderful way. Crossing the lagoon, we will get to know two beautiful islands. Murano has a complex of islands connected to each other by bridges. It is known for its glass masterpieces, the birthplace of blown glass Murano. Our second stop today is the island of Burano with its houses all painted in bright colors and has a tradition in handmade lace. It is the most lively island in the lagoon, but at the same time it is also the quietest, because on the island there are no hotels, no rented rooms, nor of course cars. In the afternoon, the local carnival parade of the island begins. Free time and return to our hotel in Padova. Overnight stay.
