1 Day 1ATHENS – ISTANBUL
Free Time to Get Acquainted with the City
Departure from El. Venizelos. Arrival in Istanbul (Asian side) and transfer to the hotel (included). Check in and free time to get acquainted with the City of Cities. Our hotel is located in Taksim Square, so we suggest a walk on Istiklal Street, either on foot or by the famous and beautiful red trams. Don't hesitate during your walk to enjoy the traditional ice cream - dondurma with the shows. At the end of Istiklal, you will meet the beautiful Galata Tower. After taking photos with the Tower, we suggest a walk on the coastal road of Karakoy to enjoy the view with the Galata Bridge and the beginning of the Golden Horn. During your free time, we suggest having tea at the famous Pera Palace 5*, where Agatha Christie enjoyed her vacations in the City, in room 411 - many say that the novel "Murder on the Orient Express" was written there... What do you think?
In the afternoon, we suggest a 3-hour cruise on the Bosphorus (departure at 18:00 from Galata Bridge) during which we will also have a stop on the Asian side of the City to get to know it on foot. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
2 Day 2ISTANBUL – Free day
Breakfast at the hotel and free day. Optionally, after lunch, meeting with our guide at the hotel reception and departure for a guided tour of the famous Dolmabahce Palace. Immediately after Kabatas, we will board a boat to visit the Princes' Islands. Our first stop will be at Halki with the famous Theological School and the Holy Monastery of the Holy Trinity on the Hill of Hope. Then we will visit Prinkipo. Return to the city at our hotel. For the evening, we suggest entertainment at a traditional nightclub with a live orchestra and traditional belly dances (oriental). Overnight stay.
3 Day 3ISTANBUL
Breakfast and meeting with our guide at the hotel reception. Departure for a guided tour of the City's most important sights. We will start the tour in the Old City from the largest monument of Hellenism and Christianity, Saint Sophia. Then we will visit the sultan's palace Topkapi on the peninsula where the ancient colony of Byzantium was founded, the Byzantine Hippodrome, the legendary Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet) and the Basilica Cistern of Justinian. Next, we will visit the impressive Covered Market (Kapali Carsi) with its 5,000 shops for your shopping. Our day will end with a guided tour of the Pera area. Return to the hotel and overnight stay
4 Day 4ISTANBUL – ATHENS
After breakfast, check out and free time. We suggest a visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Fanari, Panagia of Blachernae or Balukli (Monastery of Zoodochos Pigi) which is connected to the legends about the half-roasted fish and the fall of the City. Then, transfer to the airport (from your hotel) for your return flight to Athens.
