Gathering at the airport and flight to the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona. As soon as we settle into our hotel, we immediately start our sightseeing tour of this vibrant city. The guided tour will start from the most traditional pedestrian street, the Rambla. We will walk through the beautiful narrow streets of the Gothic quarter, where we will admire the illuminated Cathedral. Our camera will capture the grandeur of the Plaza del Rey and the Sant Jaume square, where the City Hall and the Palacio de la Generalitat dominate. Our final stop is the bustling Plaza de la Basilica, which in turn will take us on a journey through the local cuisine and traditional delicacies. Breakfast at our hotel and we immediately start our sightseeing tour. Today's excursion concerns Barcelona and its hidden treasures. Walking along the Rambla, the most famous pedestrian street in Barcelona with the flower market and its endless vitality, we will see the Monument dedicated to Columbus, the Naval and Military Headquarters as well as the Maritime museum (formerly the Royal Shipyards). We will not fail to visit the central food and fruit market "La Boqueria", where you can try excellent local delicacies, as well as taste fresh fish and tapas. Next, we have the Liceu, where the greatest tenors and sopranos in the world have performed, and the Palacio de la Virreina, the Palace of the Viceroy, a 18th-century Baroque building. On our way, we will encounter the Canaletes fountain, where according to local tradition, anyone who drinks water from it will return to Barcelona again. At the same time, it is a meeting point for the fans of the city's football team to celebrate every new trophy. Next, we will be at the Plaza de Catalunya, in the center of the city and at kilometer 0 of Catalonia as it is considered. The shops will attract our attention, but not more than the original work of art Mural del beso (Mural of the kiss), which is officially called "The world is born in every kiss". From our guided tour of the Gothic quarter, we could not miss the Cathedral, the landmark of Barcelona, dedicated to Saint Eulalia and the Holy Cross, the Plaza del Rey, this monumental square surrounded by Gothic and Renaissance buildings, as well as the Plaza de Sant Jaume, which is the political center of Catalonia. Gradually, we move to the new Barcelona, passing through the Marina port Vell, Barceloneta, the old fishing village with its beautiful beaches and the Olympic museum, to end up at the Sagrada Familia (Holy Family). It is the most important work of Antoni Gaudí, and rightly bears the title of the most visited monument in Barcelona. Next, we will cross the most beautiful and expensive avenue in the city, the Paseo De Gracia, where we will meet the best hotels, the most famous fashion houses, as well as the two most famous houses of A. Gaudí, the Casa Mila or Pedrera and the Casa Batllo. Finally, passing through the Plaza Espana, we will admire the fountains of Montjuic and the Spanish village, an outdoor architectural museum that is a miniature of traditional Spanish architecture from the 1929 exhibition. Descending the hill, we will see the tourist port, which is the first in the Mediterranean in terms of passenger numbers, the Olympic ring and the Maremagnum, the only shopping center in the city with a license to operate 365 days a year. Breakfast at the hotel and we have today's day at our disposal to make the most of it as we wish. Without a doubt, we recommend visiting Parque Guell, the park designed by architect A. Gaudi, the greatest exponent of Catalan modernism, of great architectural interest. It is a huge balcony, decorated with colorful marbles, mosaics and fountains with dragons, from where one can enjoy their coffee with a view of the entire city of Barcelona. For the little child hiding inside you, we suggest visiting the Aquarium of Barcelona, one of the most important in Europe, the largest Park in the city "Parc de la Ciutadella", with its zoo, while don't miss the famous CampNou stadium, which is the home of F.C.Barcelona. For art lovers, the Picasso Museum and the Museum of Surrealist painter Joan Miro will be an unforgettable experience. In the evening, we recommend the traditional Flamenco show. After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for the Historic city of Girona, where we will admire, among other things, the cathedral and the Jewish quarter. Free time to wander around the picturesque alleys of the castle. Then we will visit Figueres, where the museum-theatre of the famous painter Salvador Dali is located. Let yourself be immersed in the surrealistic atmosphere that his works emanate, from the early years of his artistic activity to the last years of his life. When leaving the museum, we suggest you visit the Catholic church of St. Paul. Admire its Gothic architecture with the arched ceilings and the simplicity of the church. Return to Barcelona. Free time. For your lunch, choose local specialties, always accompanied by the mature, oak-aged wine of Catalonia. Return to Barcelona and free time. Overnight stay.
